Everyday is an Adventure!

Today we went back to the same slum that we were at yesterday, it was great! I ended up talking to this guy for quite a while. He spoke pretty good english, so that helped! He is a wholesaler. He goes around to the stores that are in the slum and sells his products. He was asking about what we were up to and why we are here. He is quite the business man. He has a couple of his own businesses going on and was trying to get us to go to his recording studio and spend sometime there. It was fun talking and getting to know him.

We also had another person join our team! His name is Adam and he is Indonesian, he is waiting for his visa to join his team on his outreach. It’ll be fun to have another guy on the team for a little while. I think he is only staying for about a week or so, we’ll see.

It was a great day and we’ll see what adventure tomorrow brings!

This is my shin. You see hopping into the taxi, I tend to hit the glovebox. The big one on the left is from Saturday and the one on the right is from today. I hop in like twice a day and when the front seat is pushed forward, there isn’t much room for my legs. Hopefully, I’ll be more limb aware! Good times!

Talk to you soon!

  1. Oh my, I haven’t been here for awhile and have missed some incredible things! WAY TO GO, NATALIE!

I really enjoyed your pix, particularly the drums at the GYO thing, several of your night shots of freeways and overpasses and then of course, all those beautiful children you’ve been visiting with.

I’m glad you’re feeling better and that you now have a bit more “space” – that’s not my favorite thing either. How great for you to be on the “other side” of the camera – I bet no one talks in the head set like Tom does! 🙂

So proud of you and think of you daily! See you in September (I think that’s an old song!). Love you too!
